📺 Facebook adds Topics and Featured Videos to Watch

With Watch content growing by 74% since June 2019, FB has enabled better search and personalisation. Users can find and follow topics like Crafts, Comedy, Dance and Beauty, further personalising their feed. In the US and select markets, users will also see curated videos in What’s Happening, Most Haha’d This Week and Most Loved This Week.


🐥 Instagram brings in minimum age settings

Brands now have the ability to control the minimum age of their Instagram viewers, which can be adjusted to match country-specific policies. 


💬 Messenger becomes a single communication platform for businesses

With total daily conversations between people and businesses on Messenger and Instagram growing over 40% in the last year, Messenger is updating to make it easier for businesses to reach their customers and get a holistic view of customer loyalty across the whole family of apps including Profile, Shops and Stories on both FB and IG.


🌐 New FB translation model cuts out English as the common language.

Facebook's new 'M2M-100' multilingual machine translation model translates any pair of 100 languages without relying on English data to maintain the original meaning of the text and maximise communication between users.
